Digital Grid(DG) of Smart Infrastructure(SI) at Siemens Korea signed a contract for collaboration project of SIGUARD DSA with Korea Electric Power Corporation(KEPCO) in Hannover, Germany on April 1.
Mr. TaeKyun Kim, Head of Next Generation Transmission & Substation Lab at KEPCO, Mr. Michael Schneider, Head of DG Software Product House & Consulting at Siemens AG and Mr. HaJoong Chung, Head of Smart Infrastructure at Siemens Korea participated in the signing ceremony. SIGUARD DSA(Dynamic Security Assessment) is fully automated and integrated assessment tool for grid system stability and dynamic security. It helps system operators expand their situational awareness in the control room and supports them in making critical decisions during stability problems.
With this project, Siemens and KEPCO will ensure the verification of the tool for usage in the operational dispatch center resided in Korea and collaborate to develop potential business opportunities. SI at Siemens Korea will cooperate in installation, commissioning and engineering during the project with advanced technologies transferred from Siemens HQ.
